Yknow this “”controversy”” is pissing me off cause like, a lot of products shoehorn this shit in and it’s annoying, but overwatch handles this stuff fairly well. It’s shown in a natural way that these people have a partner who happens to be of the same gender.
So when people cry about THAT, it’s not about “the sjws shoehorn this in” or “keep politics out of gaming” anymore, cause it’s really not shoehorned, it’s not in your face, it’s not going against any plot points, it’s done smoothly and naturally. It’s just about not wanting gays in the game.
So now it makes me question how many people are actually legitimate when they complain about these things being shoehorned in unnaturally and being obnoxiously in your face and all that.
^This. This is the mindset I’ve been hoping is out there cause it reflects my own. I made the mistake of reading the comments section of articles about the Soldier reveal and started losing hope.

So, I’ve never done this myself, but apperently if you go to deal with Fist without talking to Wrex at C-Sec Academy, he will catch you there later near the elevator.
And to your surprise he’ll say that he obviously didn’t like you doing his job he was payed for for him, that you’re the one who deserves the payment and that he had already sent the money to you. Like.. You can’t expect that! You expect a fight! From a pissed merc, from pissed krogan merc-scarred battlemaster and he gives you money!! Not because he’s not up to the task or relieved but because it’s what honesty is for him, what honor is. Like, daaaamn. Shows much about what a complex character Wrex is, not what you think he is, when you see him. ME has beautiful writing, you know?

i’m fairly confident the reason everyone assumes Curiosity is about the size of a dog is because informal NASA press (and by extension, the general culture of people who care abt what NASA’s up to) talks about Curiosity like it is, in fact, an unusually smart and self-aware pet, and i think that’s beautiful.
